First things first, it’s not a party without a festive tipple (though drank responsibly, of course). With this in mind, we scoured the bars of the nation (it truly was an awful job but someone’s got to do it) to find you the tastiest gluten free cocktails available.

Strawberry Mojito

What you’ll need:

• 3 large strawberries (not too ripe now!), sliced
• 6 mint leaves (don’t forget to clap them, something we’ve found in our extensive research)
• 2 teaspoons of superfine bar sugar
• 1-2 shots of rum
• 1/4 cup soda water

Instructions:

1. Add the sliced strawberries (don’t forget to use one for garnish), mint and sugar to a cocktail shaker (without the lid) and stir until the most of the sugar dissolves.
2. Add the rum (a yo ho), add the lid and shake it like you mean it. Pour it into a tall glass, and add soda water and ice.
3. Garnish with a mint leaf and half a delicious strawberry.

Honeydew Melon Martini

What you’ll need:

• 1 1/4 cup cubed honeydew melon
• 1 1/2 tablespoons agave nectar
• 2 shots vodka
• 1 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice or 1 shot of triple sec (optional)
• Granulated sugar for rim (definitely recommended to make you feel like a celeb)
• Sprig of mint for garnish (see above)

Instructions:

1. Add melon, agave nectar and vodka to blender and do your thing (optional dramatic blending face)
2. Fill martini shaker 3/4 way full with ice; add mixture; and shake like you’ve never shook in your life for about 30 seconds.
3. If you’re opting for the celeb-a-like option of a sugar rimmed glass then place granulated sugar in a saucer as wide as the rim of the martini glass.
4. Wet rim of glass and dip into saucer.
5. Pour martini mixture into glass and serve very chilled.

Cheeky Cosmopolitan

What you’ll need:

• 5 shots of vodka
• 2 shots of Cointreau (or any orange liqueur really, we’re not fussy!)
• 1/2 cup cranberry juice
• 1/2 cup pomegranate juice
• 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
• A big old lemon or orange (to peel, curl and garnish)

Instructions:

1. Combine all ingredients together and chill in the fridge.
2. Just before serving and working in batches, half fill a martini shaker with ice and some of the homemade cosmo mix.
3. Shake it like a polaroid picture and pour the cocktail into chilled martini glasses.
4. Garnish with a fancy curled citrus peel.
